Advanced 3D Laser Scanning Technology Services
Providing 3D Laser Scanning Services for clients in the Edmonton Area and across Western Canada
EngRx offers 3D Laser Scanning Services with the most modern portable equipment. Our scanning services can be used to accurately create a digital model of your objects. The laser scanning service can be used in the most demanding applications involving reverse engineering and inspection.
EngRx 3D scanners are handheld, light and they fit into a small carry case. They allow total freedom of movement and can be brought and used virtually anywhere. Our team of Edmonton based engineers can provide in field laser scanning services across Alberta and beyond thanks to the mobile nature our laser scanning equipment.
Highly-accurate measurements are achieved regardless of the environment (instability, vibrations, thermal variation, etc.). Our scanners use software algorithms that simplify the measurement process and greatly increase data accuracy.
3D Laser Scanning works under the principle of collecting millions of data points in the formation of the object being scanned. This set of data is often referred to as a “Point Cloud”. A Point Cloud is a set of data points formed in a three-dimensional coordinate system. These points are usually defined by X, Y, and Z coordinates, and are intended to represent the external surface of the scanned object. The Point Clouds are not generally usable until they are converted to another form such as a CAD model. The conversion of the Point Cloud is commonly referred to as Surface Reconstruction.
The newest laser scanning technology is opening up exciting new opportunities to improve and enhance products that a few years ago was considered a difficult task.

The data acquisition process that generates extra fast results, with real time visualization and direct mesh output. Our 3D scanners are up and running in less than 5 minutes and require no rigid set-up nor particular experience from the user. You can scan parts in virtually any size, material or color.
EngRx is a leader in combining laser scanning with engineering analysis. The laser scan data output is converted into a solid model that can be load simulated in our Finite Element Analysis software. Engineered improvements can begin quickly on complex shaped objects.
Precision Technology
Laser scanning allows us to create an exact three dimensional model of any surface and then import those measurements into our autocad software. This allows us to create a custom, exact measurement prototype that can be manufactured to custom specifications for literally thousands of difference applications ranging from plastic molds to reverse engineering entire designs.
EngRX has the capacity to laser scan any object or surface and can custom tailor our field service to meet your specific needs thanks to the scanning technology we incorporate from Creaform.
